2000AD Prepares to Take San Diego by Storm – 18th – 21st July 2013

2000AD announce a few details of what to expect at Booth #2806.

Judge Dredd artist and Zombo co-creator Henry Flint will be signing & sketching all weekend. As well as being one of the most popular 2000AD artists at the moment Henry is the artist behind the comic sequel to the 2012 film Dredd.

At the booth SDCC goers will be able to get their hands on a whole heap of goodies, at a cost obviously. All the latest North America releases will be on show, such as War Machine and Judge Dredd: Fatties. There will also be a large selection of the standard UK releases for the US market to get up close and personal. Planet Replicas licensed gear will be available, such as custom Judge Badges and keyrings.

Zenith – the Complete Zenith was recently announced as available for pre-order in hard back for a limited run of 1000 copies. Featuring art by series artist Steve Yeowell showing Zenith, the iconic super-brat.

Judge Dredd – an homage to the art of ‘Silver Age’ US comics. Art by Henry Flint but inspired by the greats of the 60s & 70s.

Judge Dredd – A special San Diego 2013 Dredd t-shirt, art by Henry Flint. Featuring Dredd and a smoking lawgiver.

These t-shirts are exclusive to SDCC at the 2000AD booth.

There will be two exclusive Henry Flint prints:

The Dark Judges, the classic villains created by John Wagner, Alan Grant and Brian Bolland.

Judge Dredd as depicted in the 2012 film Dredd, this is from the forthcoming comic sequel.

2000AD will team up with IDW on Saturday 20th in Room Nine for a Judge Dredd panel featuring, Dirk Wood and Chris Ryall, will join creators Duane Swierczynski, Henry Flint and John Higgins + ‘others’…

All cool stuff… but I won’t be there… hope those that go have a blast!
