Tharg details lets us know that this Prog holds the penultimate episode of Defoe. He bigs up the McMahon droid. He also regales us with details of the Megazine, 339 is out now.

Judge Dredd: Bender part 2

Script: John Wagner
Art: Ben Wilsher
Colours: Chris Blythe
Letters: Annie Parkhouse

Nice to see some survivors playing Aeroball, or a variety there of.

Another Dredd-lite episode where we see that Bender is more than a tad out of control and Lock might not be as fit for duty as Med Div suggested. The investigation is going along well, gotta think there are going to be repercussions.

Nice scene of the two Judges on some down-time, from a story point of view. Some interesting graffiti, ‘Whitey jr’ and ‘Apelino’.

Defoe: The Damned, part 11

Script: Pat Mills
Art: Leigh Gallagher
Letters: Ellie De Ville

Another fine episode. Defoe doesn’t give up easily, Faust should know that.

Even if Tharg hadn’t told us I think the story seems to make it clear we are close to the end of this arc. Faust is down, the reeks are no longer controlled. But there are surely repercussions, two stories in a row with repercussions…

Brilliant plot, brilliant art work, the fight at sea is excellent.

The Ten-Seconders part 8

Writer: Rob Williams
Art: Edmund Bagwell
Letters: Simon Bowland

Big robots but not friendly ones. Alright most big robots aren’t that friendly but there have been a few.

Malloy doesn’t look like he is coming back, probably not… and Jen? Doesn’t look good for her either. In fact the team is in a bit of a mess and I don’t think the Scientist is helping.

Quite a bit of exposition.

Might be some repercussions… hmmm… bit of a theme developing here.

Age of The Wolf III: Wolfworld part 7

Script: Alec Worley
Art: Jon Davis-Hunt
Letters: Annie Parkhouse

Alright the Centaur-werewolves were ok and now Zombie-werewolves. That’s good.

The tree city sort of reminds me of Dragon Lance, even though it is different.

Sláine: Book of Scars part 3

Script: Pat Mills
Art: Mike McMahon
Letters: Ellie De Ville

A retelling of Sky Chariots.

I didn’t get the same vibes off this episode that I did last week. I’m not sure why, I know McMahon was never my favourite Sláine artist but I enjoyed his originals. I think it was perhaps all a little too predictable this time.

Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed it. But I am bound to be comparing each episode to the rest in this particular story arc.

Next Prog

More of the same as the line up remains unchanged, last episode of Defoe.

High expectations for Sláine.
