Tharg bigs up the variety that 2000AD brings & extols the way an anthology can bring so much at once. Also pimps the Megazine which has Part 2 of the Dredd (2012) comic sequel Underbelly Part 2 of Creator owned Ordinary & a prequel to the forthcoming creator owned Department of Monsterology.

Judge Dredd: New Tricks part 5

Script: Michael Carroll
Art: Paul Davidson
Colours: Chris Blythe
Letters: Annie Parkhouse

Finale.

A slave revolt and four Judges puts paid to the Goblin King.

A great end, no decision on whether Pax and/or Joyce are passed suitable for street duty in Mega City ~One.

I had hoped for another episode or two but the ending worked great, I was just enjoying the story so much a few more episodes would have been good.  Great reveal about the Goblin King.

And the art was top notch again.

Brass Sun: The Diamond Age part 5

Script: Ian Edginton
Art: INJ Culbard
Letters: Ellie De Ville

Wren is such a heavy in this episode… Assertive is the word…

Exposition from the bad guys, interesting stuff. And revelations from the good guys. Another well paced episode.

Flesh: Badlanders part 5

Writer: Pat Mills
Art: James McKay
Letters: Annie Parkhouse

Best episode of this outing in my opinion.

A change of pace with a flashback about McGurk… I dunno, maybe I like him more for how much he loved his wife… Maybe I like him less because he was a Broker…

Interrsting glimpse at the 23rd Century, we never see much of it. I think the art suited this episode too.

Aquila: Where all Roads Lead part 4

Writer: Gordon Rennie
Art: Patrick Goddard
Colours: Gary Calowell
Letters: Ellie De Ville

More action,more deaths.

Some

Damnation Station: The Tail of the Dragon part 2

Script: Al Ewing
Art: Mark Harrison
Letters: Simon Bowland

Run for your life!

Great action, great dialogue and he doesn’t need 20 pages doesn’t Al to pack all that in.

Only criticism is that the art is a little too dark perhaps. Beautiful, but dark.
