Lawgiver: A Celebration of Dredd

The guest list has been extended over the past week or so and the current line-up is:

John Wagner – Writer & creator of Judge Dredd
Alan A. Grant – co-writer classic Dredd stories such as The Apocalypse War,
Michael Carroll – writer of the Dredd story in this weeks 2000AD.
Peter Doherty – artist on classics such as Bury My Knee at Wounded Heart.
Nick Percival Art – artist on Michael Carroll’s 5 part Judge Dredd horror story – Trauma Town
Edmund Dehn – star of Judge Minty
Steven Sterlacchini – Writer & Director of Judge Minty
Steve Green – Director of Cinematography on Judge Minty

The guests will be taking part in panels run by Pete Allison and myself where they will talk about their respective involvement with Judge Dredd.

Judge Minty, critically acclaimed fan film set very closely to the comic continuity starring Edmund Dehn, will be screened. As will the 2012 cinematic release Dredd, starring Karl Urban, Olivia Thirlby and Lena Headey.

There will be demonstrations of the Judge Dredd Miniatures rules, this game is from Mongoose Publishing and is licensed by Rebellion, owners of 2000AD.

There will also be three uniformed Judges:

Judges Court and Lemmy will be on patrol during the event.

Both are seasoned Street Judges and have been on crowd control many times up and down the country.

They are also highly skilled at protecting VIPs and prisoner transfers.

Judge Pal will also be on hand.

Any Juve at Lawgiver will be able to report anything suspicious their parents have been up to.

Judge Pal will ensure all proper procedures are adhered to. Such as the encubement of the parent or parents.

Photo opportunities will be available with all the Judges on request. Improper conduct or unauthorized use of any electronic recording device may result in arrest.

The Judge uniforms are available from our friends over at Planet Replicas they have a great range of licensed 2000AD products and recently unveiled a licensed line of Mars Attacks from Topps, comics available from IDW.
