Daily Dredd – Have you seen this strip? Low Res copies included

DreddstarBack in May I wrote about a request 2000AD publisher Rebellion had put out asking for help locating good quality scans or paper copies of some of the Judge Dredd stories that were published in the Daily Star in the 1980s.

Well thanks to fans around the world the missing stories have been located. There are now copies of all the stories. However some are not in great condition, you can see the low res copies that Rebellion have at the bottom of this article.

So that the full series can be reprinted, in order, a final call is going out for assistance.

The ‘missing’ strips are:

17th September 1983: Baffin Island

10th December 1983: Manta Tank

30th June 1984: Strike Bound

4th August 1984: Glaring

The team have made all the obvious attempts, the Star don’t have them, the British Library do not have them. Rebellion were not the owners at the time (they bought 2000AD and Judge Dredd in 2000 (rather fittingly)).

As promised, these are the strips Rebellion are looking for. If you can help please contact Rebellion by e-mailing press@rebellion.co.uk. Thanks.

  1. An outstanding share! I have just forwarded this onto a co-worker who had
been conducting a little homework on this. And he
actually bought me dinner simply because I discovered
it for him… lol. So allow me to reword this…. Thank YOU for the meal!!
But yeah, thanks for spending some time to discuss this topic here on your site.
