Alec Worley has previously been published in the pages of 2000AD with stories such as Dandridge, Age of the Wolf and Robo Hunter in the 2014 SciFi Special.

Pye Parr is someone who many will not have noticed yet his work has been on view to all 2000AD and Judge Dredd Megazine. Pye was head of design at Rebellion until leaving to work freelance. 2000AD, Judge Dredd Megazine and most of Rebellion’s other publications have featured his work.

This is a Creator Owned project, something the Megazine has been involved in debuting for a while.

There is a double-page spread preview at the end of this article.

In the words of Rebellion’s Head of PR:

The Megazine has established a reputation for premiering stunning new series outside of the world of 2000 AD and Judge Dredd, including Andy Diggle and Jock’s SNAPSHOT, Paul Grist’s DEMON NIC, Rob Williams and D’Israeli on ORDINARY, and Alan Martin and Rufus Dayglo on TANK GIRL.”“

Now comes a ‘Black Metal-infused gothic horror series‘ that was announced in September 2015 as the first Graphic Novel from new Publishing House, Werewolf Press – formed by Candlelight label owner and October File bass player, Steve Beatty.

The book’s plot is described as:

The supernatural defence agency known as ‘The Congregation’, a covert wing of the Catholic Church, has been destroyed and its sole surviving operative, legendary monster-hunter Alberic Van Helsing, is now a fugitive and addict. Now he’s been recruited by the so-called Vampire Elite to help them destroy an ancient evil that threatens them all.

Alec Worley has commented about the artwork in the book:

“Pye’s artwork is phenomenal. Every spread I’m seeing is more amazingly demented than the last. This is going to be one hell of a debut graphic novel. Readers of the Prog and Meg have only had a taste of what this droid can do. Now they’re in for a feast!”

The collected edition is due out in May from Werewolf Press.
