The second episode with the new Doctor and it seems fair to say she is still finding her feet. Rightly so, she’s gone through a lot.

We get to see more of  the Doctor and the new Companions and the dynamics of their relationships. Trust is growing between the Doctor and the Companions.

There are a few spoilers below, do not read further if you haven’t seen the first episode as it spoils the ending of Episode 1. The spoilers for this Episode are light. Continue reading

I haven’t written about Doctor Who for a while. I decided it is time to write about it and to the obvious first.

Firstly – my childhood is still safe…

Of course it is. some of the most ridiculous statements I have read from ‘fans’ is that a change to the current program somehow affects the past. That’s not even true for a program about time travel.

As a Writer I wouldn’t have changed the Doctor from Male to Female. But as a viewer it wasn’t putting me off. In this article I will tackle both these statements.

So, Jodie Foster is the new Doctor on Doctor Who. The first female to play the part and she’s faced criticism from the announcement of her casting.

We’ve seen the first episode, met her Doctor and met her Assistants. Continue reading

The Doctor: Peter Capaldi
Clara Oswald: Jenna-Louise Coleman
Missy: Michelle Gomez

This is the second part of the opening two-parter to the latest season of Doctor Who.

I haven’t frequently reviewed Doctor Who but I intend to review this current season. Below is a brief description of the previous episode, spoilers for that episode are in the full article, as well as spoilers for this episode. Only go further if you’ve seen both episodes or if you actually like spoilers.

Previously we saw the Doctor send a message to Missy (The Master) alerting her to the fact he considered his final days were approaching. Missy and Clara tracked him down to Britain during the Dark Ages where he was contesting with Bors (a member of the Round Table?).

The Doctor was captured by Colony Sarff and taken to Skaro at the bidding of Davros. Continue reading

I’ve not written  review of a Doctor Who episode for a while.

The reason is that I don’t like being negative on this blog and while I still love Doctor Who I almost always have some negative feelings about the episodes. Obviously that isn’t always a big problem, a few negatives can easily be out weighed by the positives.

I’ve decided to give another go at reviewing Doctor Who with this new season. Continue reading
